Late Summertime Woman is an interdisciplinary performance that combines music, sound,
movement and texts. Inspired by the landscapes and waters of Ireland, Felicity Wilcox and
Nadja Haas explore the intersections between its lush, coastal environments and those of their
homelands and their natures as mature women embarking on a new phase of life. This
evocative work explores themes common to women’s lives: phases of fertility; the burden and
privilege of care; heartbreaking loss; and the wonder of new beginnings, in an abstract
distillation of what it might mean to move through the world as a woman.
